Description

The University Hospital Arnau de Vilanova and the University Hospital Santa María, together with the Faculty of Nursing and Physiotherapy of the University of Lleida are part of the project Centers Committed to Excellence in Health Care (BPSO)® since 2015.

Currently, 180 health professionals – mainly, nurses, assistants, attendants, physiotherapists, doctors, social workers and other technicians – are the members of the group that promotes the project in Lleida, which relies on the collaboration of the Col·legi Oficial d’Infermeres I Infermers de Lleida, who assume the editing of the guides and communication, among other tasks.

The objective of the BPSO® program is to justify, facilitate and support the implementation, evaluation and maintenance, in any field of the nursing practice, of the good practice in health care, based on the Good Practice Guides (GPG) of the RNAO.

  • Maintenance and management of the ostomy
  • People and family-focused health care
  • Good practice implementation tool
  • Prevention of falls and injuries resulting from such falls
  • Resources for the teacher
  • Assessment of the risk and prevention of ulcers derived from pressure.
